Additionally, the auction features several encyclopedic offerings from the most legendary names in fi ne wine. These include an astounding 17-vintage library of Screaming Eagle in original wood (lots 476-492) and an encyclopedia of Unico that spans over 25 vintages (lots 1224-1254). The sale will also offer Burgundy from nearly all of the region’s top estates, with particularly breathtaking offerings of white Burgundy in owc, including 12 bottles of 1992 Leroy Corton-Charlemagne (lot 53, est. $6,000- 9,000) and 3 bottles of 2008 DRC Montrachet (lots 469 and 1215, each est. $9,000-14,000).
For those bidders looking for wines that are the very defi nition of ‘blue chip,’ the auction contains an exquisite consignment from one of the most important and discerning collectors in the world (lots 1144-1184). This collector is highly particular about the caliber of wine that he purchases and, fortunately for our buyers, he has accumulated such massive quantities of these great wines that he has decided to sell a very small sampling in order to make room for future purchases. These include an incredible 18 vintages of Romanée-Conti, 1959 and 1961 top-tier Bordeaux, and fi nest Jayer wines. Almost all bottles offered were purchased from HDH’s fi nest past auctions.
The crowning jewel of Hart Davis Hart’s June auction will be a selection of wines direct from the cellars of Dom Pérignon with eleven vintages of the rare Plénitude 3 (P3) (lots 1185-1206). These extraordinary champagnes have been aged for a minimum 20 years on their lees, and offer new expressions of classic Dom vintages.
